Ordo Meum

I'm Pablo. Welcome.

I'm at a point in my life that I'm reassessing things that I took as given or that I trusted but that now don't ring so true. I'm a geek, so that's why you see the Latin above. Literally translated, it means "My Order." My priorities have taken on a different order and importance. At first, that seemed like a new ordering of priorities, but in reality, it's more that they are taking their place in a way that fits more with who I really am. Discovering my real self, aside from the external and self-imposed expectations is another aspect of the "order" of my life. Family, friends, self-image, career, church, volunteering--all these things hold a particular place in my life. I'm rediscovering how they all fit together. That's what this blog is about.

I'm a cautious person. But I decided to start this blog to share some personal things in the hope that whatever experiences I end up posting about might be of some value to whoever reads this. I don't know that I have any special wisdom, but perhaps what you find here will resonnate with you, help you, encourage you, infuriate you, interest you, or add to your desire to do something good in this world. Mohandas Gandhi put it best: “Almost everything you do will seem insignificant, but it is important that you do it.”

I appreciate whatever comments and feedback you'd like to give. Thanks for visiting.

  1. Looking back on this, Im seeing that my phone didnt post the comment that I had left earlier. I was saying how I like the Ghandi quote that you included in this entry. I think thats true; so much of what we do seems insignificant. But you never know how the smallest effort can impact either your own life or someone elses.
